  As a Puerto Rican man this whole book sounds to me like a man who's trying to use his religion to justify his overt racism. They just want to run the Israel model in the US.

  Let’s also not forget that this is the SECOND book title that Vance stole/hijacked/co-opted from a black author who was also part of Yale faculty while JD attended school there. 🙄<br>Mediocre Man strikes again.

  You know, it&apos;s funny: Ayn Rand devotees are totally convinced of their righteous place in society by Atlas Shrugged, but when are the tech billionaires ACTUALLY going to remove themselves from society to teach all us poors a lesson? I really, really want to be taught that particular lesson.

  Vance seems to be a duplicitous flip-flopper, but his autobiography kind of frames himself as a boy searching for meaning that made the wrong choice at every crossroads.
