  6 months ago someone said to me "to know history is to be Catholic." As a Protestant I was deeply offended but I took it to heart and what I discovered blew my mind. I read the early church fathers myself(never had heard about them in 40 years of regular Protestant church attendance) and was surprised by how easy and relatable they actually were. The Martyrdom of 86-year-old Polycarp broke me. Knowing that the scriptures never say only scripture and Paul actually says the opposite in his letters saying that to hold fast to the traditions by word of mouth and letter. It's been 6 months of a painful  reality check but I am so grateful for God showing me. I wish I had seen it at your age but we are starting OCIA next week. Good luck and we will be praying for you! Thank you for sharing. I have found listening to Hannah Crews(lighten up podcast up on youtube) a very popular Protestant church women's speaker who has been going through all of this(at the cost of her livlihood) and has been very open and transparent about why they are joining the Catholic Church.

  I'm in OCIA now and will be confirmed into the RCC next Easter!  That is after being a lifelong Baptist.

  I became a catholic in April 19, 2025. Nothing will ever get your closer to Jesus than the practices of this Church.

  Becoming catholic was definitely the best thing I've done in my life. My life changed completely. Jesus is present in the Eucarist, as all the early Christians already knew. ✝️❤️‍🔥
