  Insurance should be able to be sold throughout all States. And we need an Insurance Commissioner who is not a self serving bureaucrat

  I ran a brush disposal crew for the US Forest Service back in the late 80&apos;s. We did burns in the winter as well. All of these crazy fires didn&apos;t happen until they got rid of (almost completely) logging, brush disposal crews and off season burns!

  I live in CA. My insurance was $1700 a year. I’ve never had a claim in my life, I was dropped and had to go to the fair plan, my new rate…..$13,000 a year. I keep in compliance with the states defensible space mandates &nbsp;and last year a fire came through and my house was not touched, but did I get a discount….. nope.

  As a senior citizen in California my home insurance tripled in 4 yrs! Never filed a claim! I may lose my home to insurance skyrocketing

  My clients are in El Dorado County, which includes a part of Lake Tahoe and west down into the Sierra foothills in Northern California. This is prime forest and fire country. Clients are telling me insurance companies are flying drones over homes then contacting homeowners to tell them they need to make either changes and/or get a new roof immediately or lose their policy. People are not only in shock at the sudden notice of possible cancellation but also at the huge financial burden being placed on them to keep up with insurance companies constantly having new demands. Yet, the state has been irresponsible and negligent in forest management and fire prevention.

  I want to know why this lady isn&apos;t on our local news stations to explain everything to every homeowner in California???
