I got to meet Shatner once.  I told him my favorite Star Trek memory is sitting on daddy's lap while watching it and thanked him for giving me that.  He asked if my dad was a Star Trek fan.  No, he wasn't.  But, I was... so he sat there every week with me.

Nero is fully aware Romulus is still around at this time. He knows he traveled back in time. Telling him this info would make no difference.  He’s seeking vengeance for future events.

Fun Fact: this was Chris Hemsworths’ first movie he’s ever been in.   The second movie was “A Perfect Getaway.”

Old man Spock from the original series is known as prime spock. The alternate timeline after Nero changed it is known as the Kelvin timeline.

I always thought it was super clever how they made a complete reboot of a series canon. The time-travel/alternate timeline was a cool way to make the story your own, while maintaining the original lore.

Karl Urban absolutely KILLED the DeForest Kelly role... the entire movie was phenomenal, but he nailed it as Doctor McCoy!!

In the beginning, they asked "is this Klingon?" as a question, not a statement

The sound of enterprise screaming in pain as it tries to escape the gravity well is so satisfying

The simple fact is that being at a time before Romulus was destroyed does not erase the pain Nero felt at experiencing it in his timeline.
