Leonard Nimoy, the older, and original Spock said that Karl Urban played bones so well that his portrayal made him weep for his lost friend Deforrest Kelley, the original Bones.

Urban actually killed this role, he and the actor playing Spock were made for these roles.

It's a testament to Zachary Quinto's acting that everyone who watches him say "live long and prosper" to the Vulcan academy hears "F off & die".

Kirk and Spock are one of the most iconic friendships in television history. There's a LOT to Star Trek.

Honestly the reboot movies are the perfect gateway into the world of Star Trek and to give you a feel for the universe and how characters are portrayed and the overall aesthetic and themes.

And as far as ships go, the refit Enterprise from the original movies is hands down the most beautiful ship ever portrayed on screen

Seeing this movie in college back in 2009 was what got me hooked on Star Trek. After this I went through and watched every series and every other movie available. Years later when I met my now wife, we bonded over our love for Trek, and we eventually had our Star Trek wedding at the local planetarium and museum. This movie literally changed my life, and it makes me so happy to see someone experience that joy for the first time!

I was introduced to Star Trek by my 90 year old great-grandmother, who was babysitting me one day. I was 6. At lunchtime, she sat me down in front of the TV with a sandwich and a glass of milk. I rememberthat she said, "You're going to love this show, Jackie!" In her thick Scottish accent.

We watched an episode of the original series entitled, "The Conscience of the King"; And my life has been better for it.

I love it for several reason's 1. its good trek storytelling, 2. The fact the Nero altered history in the very beginning perfectly explains the differences between this and the og series, 3. Fantastic Soundtrack with easter eggs to the tv series music, 4. Its what we always wanted OG Series on the big screen, 5. the crew is perfectly cast to portray the OG cast.

The novel explains that the car is actually Kirk's fathers car, not the step father.

I love both Star Wars and Star Trek. I always find it funny that fans of one or the other are surprised by the aliens in each.
