  Aarne Juutilainen served 5 years in French foreign legion when he was younger he got the terror of Morocco nickname there as they were fighting in Morocco near Atlas mountains against rebels.

  Interesting Fact:<br>Recently during the ongoing Russo-Ukrainian War, a couple of Ukrainian soldiers went to Finland for sniper training. They brought with them to a visit to Simo Hayha’s grave a oberih doll as a talisman for protection and good luck. <br>Meaning the Ukrainians asked Simo Hayha permission to come down and assist them to kill the Russians once again!

  About the expoding bullet that hit Simo. The bullet wasn&apos;t exactly and exploding, but more like hollow point bullet or expanding bullet. After little searching it was a dum-dum bullet. It was designed in 1890s but it was banned in 1899 in &quot;The Hague Peace Conference of 1899&quot; for being too brutal or inhumane.

  Häyhä maintained his precision until the very end; it is said that even in his 90s, he could hit a matchbox from a long distance. The distance: Häyhä shot the matchbox from a range of 100–150 meters.
