I was running a bar in Shockoe Bottom, Richmond, Va when they shot the video for "Stay." Buddy of mine knew their sound guy, called me - frantic - spur of the moment, they wanted to shoot the video, Carter needed a drumset. Ran home and threw mine into my 1979 Mazda RX7, and there you go. That's my drumset in the video.

He joined DMB in 1991. He was 16 years old and had been playing bass for a year. RIDICULOUS!!!!

As a drummer and bassist, I've always been obsessed with Carter's playing, but this is a great focus on Stefan's approach. Really cool. Thanks!

I think i speak for many when i say that i would love to see Stefan on SBL, he deserves the recognition and probably has much wisdom to impose on us fellow bassists.

Thank you to the algorithm, I’m a huge DMB fan and I’m so glad I saw this video. Seeing people be so excited and giddy talking about DMB music made me so happy. That was one of the coolest, most fun videos I’ve ever seen on all of YouTube. You two are amazing! Loved it.

His opening to All Along the Watchtower in Central Park with the national anthem is one of my all-time favorite live show moments. It’s stunningly beautiful.
