  As the father of a little girl, I was in tears in the theater. And my daughter had no idea why. <br>I can only hope that by the time she is old enough to understand why, we will fix this mess.

  I &nbsp;was absolutely shook when I heard this in the theater. In 2.5 minutes, it totally summarizes and eviscerates the bizzaro-world standards women are held to. If America Ferrara does nothing else, she will be deservedly remembered for delivering this speech. Bravo, Greta Gerwig.

  It was astonishing how in the theatre you could literally feel all women being moved and feeling themselves so represented, it was a special moment.

  I watched Barbie in theater in my German hometown. During the speech, you could hear a pin drop and when it was over, some girls behind me started applauding. Most of the audience joined in, including me and my sisters. Barely ever did I feel such a strong sense of sisterhood and understanding with a bunch of girls and women I didn&apos;t even know. Whatever people say about the Barbie movie, I can only thank Greta for speaking so strongly for women in western societies and giving me and so many other girls the feeling of sisterhood and of being understood.<br><br>btw, sorry for my English. as I said, I&apos;m German.

  This speech was everything. The way America Ferrera delivered it, so raw and honest, it really hit a nerve in the best way. She put into words what so many people feel but struggle to say out loud. It’s one of those moments that makes you stop and go, &quot;Yeah, finally someone said it.&quot; Totally iconic.

  I will never forget the spontaneous applause that met this at EVERY screening I went to. That is why movies in a theater are the best.
