  No Airplay 2.<br>This kills it for me. Apple has, I think, the most comprehensive offering in classical music.

  I really like my WIIM Ultra but I wish I could add it to the Apple Home Kit. &nbsp;The older WIIM devices were able to connect. &nbsp;So it is relegated to the occasional blue tooth, iphone music player. &nbsp;The connection to the home WIFI is setup but it will only connect to 1 set of powered speakers in another room. &nbsp;I am hoping a future firmware will add the functionality.

  Put a smsl po100 on it. &nbsp;Made mine sound way better. &nbsp;Very noticeable. &nbsp;Something about reclocking mumbo jumbo. &nbsp;I was skeptical, I thought I wasted my 60 bucks. &nbsp;I heard it immediately

  I feel like I know the answer to this but thought I’d ask anyway. <br>Can the ultras sub out be used even if you are only using the ultra as a streamer? For example my thought is to use the wiim as a streamer into a external Dac into my preamp which has volume control. I asked this question to Wiim and they responded yes, however I’m not sure how? Any insight would be appreciated, thanks from Canada

  THX for a very nice review much appreciated by this old timer at 74, a quasi - audiophile . &nbsp;I have a question ?. &nbsp;Can i connect the Ultra via HDMI to my Denon DRA-800H AVR receiver in order to receive Streaming stereo signals which will play to the Denon&apos;s connected speakers - I have not connected the Denon for Video yet . The Denon has its own proprietary Home Entertainment system called HEOS. &nbsp;I use HEOS to play Streamers (Tidal [however the interrelationship is not great by any means in that being able to select genres , individual tunes, etc on the Tidal Phone App will not incorporate into HEOS], Spotify, Amazon Music, etc.) on the Denon . &nbsp;I do not kniow the DAC specs on the Denon. &nbsp;Would the Ultra offer better performance that the Denon&apos;s system? &nbsp;Moreover, HEOS software is generally Fair at best - no where near what I see on Ultra reviews .

  How about saying, if this is note good enough for your ears get an Eversolo DMP 6 Gen 2? The WIIM Ultra is around for 350€ in Europe in Autumn of 2025. The Eversolo still around 850€. I gave myself 1000€ budget an spent 500€ on the Sennheiser HDB 630, then 180€ on some Edifier RM5s. That gives me 320€ to spend which means I need to haggle. 🙂

  When you scrolled thru the apps menu I didn&apos;t see Plex, but I&apos;ve read that the Wiim does support plex. &nbsp;Do you know if this does or doesn&apos;t support the Plex app?

  My set up is to run the line outs to my av receiver and I then created a MRM (multi-room music) group in alexa with my firestick....that way I get the lyrics on screen but get the better quality of the wiim ultra playing into my av receiver
