  I visited Nashville for a few days during the week a couple years ago. Got what I thought was a good deal on a hotel room not too far from Lower Broadway. What I did not take into account is that it cost literally $100 a day just to park my car in the hotel parking deck.

  Grew up in TN. PBR (the National beer of TN), bloney sammich, and moon pie sounds like many a meal I had when I was in my late teens/early twenties trying to "make it" in the music biz 😂

  In the time that I lived there, I saw them stretch on size of clubs and venues, tons of them for original music. Tons of local and regional Rock, Americana. I saw everything from local punk label Infinity Cat's bands, Heavy Cream was probably the best to John Carter Cash at The Rutledge. I did get to meet him. My favorite song I ever heard in Nashville was a local,Lilly Hiatt, her song Trinity Lane was awesome storytelling. I had little interest in what the big business was putting out by the time I left. The only time I went down to Lower Broad was to check out the newest guitarist at Roberts or if Johnny Highland was playing at Layla's.

  Lake George and Saratoga Springs are tourist trappy bad enough.<br> &nbsp; I have no desire to visit Nashville again .<br> It looked cool at 1am omw to Florida in dad pickup truck when I was 10.<br><br>It&apos;s a trap of broken dreams. I know many that went.. For about a year.<br> One stayed two year writing songs and studio work for big name bands.<br> Happy to have Roy Hurd back in the Adirondacks.

  I was there about a month ago we actually go to Nashville 4-6 times a year and we always do AIRBNDS and had good luck with those. Broadway we stay clear away unless we go to Roberts... We love to go the Nashville Palace and The Scoreboard. Be there in this December and next January.

  I was there earlier this year, in April. My cousin and his girlfriend live there-they took us to Broadway (against their will...lol) and we found no good live music on a Saturday night (mediocre performances at best). We ended up finding a great band &quot;Organic Country&quot; at The Local a little outside of downtown.
