I am a mother who has lost a child. On her birthday and the days leading up to that and the dates surrounding her passing, I’m physically sick and heartbroken. I just want to be left alone and suffer through.

The problem I have is she was never honest with the medical professionals about her state of mind. As a nurse herself, she knows the keywords and discussions that would get her help. She never used those.

She had a responsibility to her kids to have stayed in treatment until she had no more thoughts of the harming them. Instead of worrying about having them taken or attending a birthday party. She had a responsibility to keep them safe from her. She failed her kids, her family and herself. She knew and she minimized and denied and the only person who knew how bad it was was her and she made a conscious choice to not tell the whole truth and it cost her children their lives.

Maureen, exactly! She told her husband and her mom about those thoughts….her sister was a mandated reporter! Yet, those innocent babies were truly the only ones who paid the ultimate price. The ignorance! They just had to be removed from the home….until it was safe….unbelievable.

Even now LC doesn't have remorse. She says she's glad her kids are safe. I don't understand how people can think not guilty.

The real justice for those kids is for it to never happen again to another mother and family being ruined because none of the family members seemed to notice.
