Anything you inherit belongs to you as the new owner. A gift by the way is just that, a gift has no strings attached you can do what you want with it. State jewels belong to the:state. Meghan’s engagement ring is hers to upgrade as she wishes. Just as my engagement ring that I have worn for 54 years is mine which allows me to update as I wish or to pass on as I wish. <br>P.S. A woman is not to keep an engagement if the engagement is broken it should be returned to the person who gave it to her otherwise it is hers to keep after the marriage. It is up to her if she later wants the ring passed on to someone else after her death.

In Meghan Markles case because of the narcissist that she is if there was a divorce she would keep the ring because it is a physical reminder of her once close proximity to the royal family. But during her first marriage / divorce she simply shipped her engagement ring back to her first husband because in her mind he was of no consequence and she dropped him like hot potato. Just want what she does with the ring if she divorces a second time !!!! Watch the ring and that will tell you all you need to know.! Mark my words!!!!
