  This was one of the more important AI guides for me because it clearly explained the difference between just chatting with AI and actually building an agent around a workflow. The part that stood out was how an agent needs a specific outcome, a clear identity, the right context and tools, a narrow scope, and then trust built in stages. That makes the idea of AI agents feel much more practical instead of just vague or futuristic.<br><br>I think this is where work is heading more and more. As AI becomes more capable, the valuable skill won’t only be knowing how to prompt, but knowing how to direct AI toward real outcomes, design the workflow around it, and decide what should still stay human. If an agent could buy back time from repetitive tasks, I’d want to use that time for deeper AI learning, building real projects, customer discovery, and the kind of work that actually compounds.

  The idea of giving each agent a specific responsibility feels especially relevant to construction. Shackleton AI seems to be taking a similar approach with AI Agents, and I could see that being useful when an estimator has several different processes happening at once rather than trying to hand the entire job over to AI.
