  Yeah and loops can amplify mistakes. You have to have a good prompt in order to get a good loop in the first place. Great explanation. I don't think prompting is dead—I think prompting is evolving into building systems. A good loop still depends on a clear objective, quality standards, and stopping conditions. The real value isn't replacing prompts; it's combining prompts with repeatable workflows.

  Loop engineering is just the EVOLUTION. The foundation will always be prompting. It is true that the trend is shifting away from manually writing prompts toward the programmatic generation and optimization of prompts. But we still have to be careful: Loops are expensive and slow. Sending a task that involves 5–10 LLM calls in a loop significantly increases API costs and response time. The reality is that anyone building functional AI systems today needs both. We need the loop architecture which determines the workflow on the one hand and the instructions to determine the quality of the intermediate results on the other.

  It all matters. Prompts when you've done the full Ai loop and built a system, you really your own prompts, based on your own ontologies and schemes and workflows become incredible important as nearly every action in your business can automated. There's many different classes of prompt, the best ones are customed to you and based on the processes you've discovered that work for you business.

  Think this is exactly the correct framing.  We need to think of these processes as Loops to move towards autonomous processing.  And as stated, the goal is to be able to step away from being the part in the middle.  Great presentation of these key concepts!
