  I always went with ugly sticks, 40 dollars and years of hassle free fishing. It's really not that complicated.

  According to Google the g loomis blanks, with the exception of their fly rods which come from Japan, are made in their factory in Washington.

  My favorite Loomis rod tip broke, I had that rod for years. I sent it back and they replaced it with a new one, that is nowhere near as good as the old. I wish I had just taken it to a repair shop instead…

  Great reason to by an ALX rod. Love St.Croix too but for the money ALX have been pretty hard to beat.

  Major issue is he's comparing prices of blanks (bare rod material) against ready to go rods with handles and line guides. Even if he is misspeaking I can't trust this bs

  I own several St. Croix rods from the premiere series, Legend Tournament, and Legend Glass !! I won't buy anything else, I broke 2 of them and St. Croix replaced them !! I've been extremely happy with the performance of them

  The TFO Tidal is now a Torray Blank...meaning its Made in Japan by Mitsubishi or Fuji Heavy

  I've been very pleased with the Bass Pro Johnny Morris Platinum series rods, so much so I now own 4 of these rods. They come with a decent warranty, 10yrs if I'm remebering correctly. Never had an issue with reel seat comming loose,grips are comfortable and the rod itself seems light and sensitiv.I believe these are made in the good ol US of A as well.
