Did this route a couple of New Year’s Day ago. Spent almost the whole walk seeing no one until I got to the waterfall. They were there for about five mins and I was left to enjoy my lunch with not a soul in sight, -5, quiet and clear as a bell. Amazing for the soul.

Great memories walking these routes - omg it was over 50 years ago! - no discernible tracks, let alone paving. A bit of a navigational test with paper map and compass. And, to be honest, rather poor clothing and equipment. But the love of the outdoors that I learned there has stayed with me ever since.

Great stuff as usual Alex, my "home" NP as well being a South West Sheffield boy, though living a bit further away now in North Notts. I love your "Another beautiful day in the Peak District National Park" intros and that goes through my head every time I'm out there.
