i used to thrift controllers all the time. they were dirt cheap back in the day. it's kind of relaxing and very satisfying to give them this treatment, though i've never used the hydrogen peroxide. i kind of like an aged looking grey/white.

its it lot better than it started out , but oiling the motor stator is a no no you should have oiled the bearing/bushing.

you are supposed to slide the L1 and R1 buttons back into the upper shell, not press/insert them. Easiest when holding the shell upside down

This time 3 days of hydrogen + UV light exposure didn't help much. I guess there's only so much that UV light can do. This one was yellowed beyond repair. Good job regardless.
