I think a lot of people overlook the fact that everyone in the movie is crazy. Everyone.

1:12 I love how Tiffany was still polite enough to introduce herself to Pat's parents

Something that I really liked about this movie is how the father's mentally ill magical thinking is considered acceptable by the community, but the son's presentation of mental health challenges are considered a problem. It's wild and the story does it well.

This was De Niro's last great performance.

Jennifer Lawrence made her bones in this scene.

It really was a ludicrous parlay, starting with the 10 point spread. The 5 rating on the dance competition was a ridiculous expectation.
Leave it to Hollywood script writers to make the impossible possible.
Suspension of disbelief is key, I guess 🙄

Di Niro does know how to play a narcissist.
