  Ironically, Peter Parker in every universe has to fight his mentors and best friends ... (Norman Osborne, Harry Osborne, Dr. Connors, Dr. Octavius, etc.) Facing Tony Stark as Dr. Doom is so much in line with Spiderman's core stories.

  I love how the MCU was basically revolved around Ironman and now it's around Spiderman. Both the two best heros in the Marvel comics.

  When Spidey needs to fight Doom, Doom is gonna say something about "I need this suit" and then Peter will come full circle and tell Tony "If you're nothing without this suit, then you shouldn't have it" and just kick his ass.

  Peter is going to initially think fighting an enemy with tony's face is torture but remembering his lessons, he realizes its a gift, a reminder as to what tony and aunt may taught him: with great power comes great responsibility and will finally cut loose and show him just how powerful he really is.

  You know, I find it heartbreaking that Peter Parker lost not just a father figure who mentored and helped him grow, but it's also sad that Peter had to face Victor Von Doom while thinking that he was Stark.
