Back in the 80s going to a theater and watching all these types of movies we knew they were not serious reality, we loved the "bad acting" and the one liners ,the never having to reload weapons. No internet, cell phones. We just went with a group of friends to have a good time

A plane with floats on legs/struts is a floatplane. A plane with a hull that goes in the water is a flying boat.

Schwarzenegger was such a hit machine that until recently I didn't regret at all that most of his films didn't have sequels. Last year I thought for the first time: "How nice it would be if Commando had a sequel."

The mall is the Sherman Oaks Galleria in the Valley. It was also used in "Terminator 2", "Innerspace", "Fast Times in Ridgmont High", "Valley Girl" etc. It has since been remodeled around 2000 and looks totally different today.
