$1400 for exhaust manifold bolts replacement per bank is ridiculous! Telling people that the stop-start engine system is OK for the Hemi is ridiculous, too!

I'm going on almost three years with my 2023 Ram 1500 5.7 Hemi, no tick, no issues thus far....knock on wood.

I own a 2021 5.7L hemi in my truck, and when I start the engine cold, I always let idle for about 30 seconds until the r.p.m.'s drop to 1,000. It does tick a little, but that's normal. It takes awhile for the oil to reach the cam and lifters. After 30 seconds, no noise whatsoever.

I researched all of the 1/2 pickups made before purchasing a '26 Ram Hemi. I came from 2 previous Ford F150 SuperCrews with 5.0 engines. The 2013 was a great engine no problems for 7 years. Against advice from a Ford Tech he told me to stay away from the NEW F150. He cited 10spd trans issues and cam phaser issues. I researched the GM products and they have essentially the same 10spd gearbox (slip & slide). The issue that made me dump my 2020 F150 was the dreaded cam phaser failure at 27K. The truck was dealer serviced at the proper interval. It took 3 trips until a Tech said the "clunk" at cold start up and later bearing noise was the phasers. It was repaired but it took 2 weeks. At 35K it started the same initial "clunk" at startup. After exhaustive research I landed on the new Ram Hemi 1500. I was impressed with the shifting and the engine runs strong!! No clunks no ticks!! I was leary of the e-Torque, but no issues to this point. Plus the 2026 Ram comes with a 100K or 10YR powertrain warranty. Oh, and then of course the price. The Big Horn is MSRP at $60K but the truck was discounted to $48K...Ford XLT w/V8 is pushing 70K & the Chevy/GMC is just as bad. So, giving the Ram a "whirl".

Purchased a new 2020 RAM 1500 5.7: Now has 130K miles with 12-20K miles/year mostly highway but a fair bit of offroad forest service roads in NW Montana. I tow a 5500 GW camp trailer towing 4K-10K miles/year. Issues to date: 20K: Cracked passenger exhast manifold - Replaced under warranty, 45K: Cracked passenger exhast manifold-replaced under extended warranty. 60K: Failed starter-Replaced under extended warranty. 70K: Cracked driver side-replaced under extended warranty. 90K: Failed front wheel drive actuator- Replaced under extended warranty. I have (myself) drained and replaced transmission fluid with new filter pan at 75K miles. It is due for another service. I use 5-20 Mobile one and change oil every 5K-7K miles. Spark plugs were replaced at 120K miles. I only use 87 octain fuel and see no differnece in MPG when using 89 or 91 octain. 120Kmiles: I had to replace worn out front drive axles and both diff stubbs...this was my fault as I had 3" puck only leveling kit installed by a "knowlegable" local mechanic without installing extended axles and control arms...my bad for not researching the lift for better options. I have replaced rear rotors and pads twice but still running original front rotors and pads. All in all, I am pretty happy with the truck. The interior lighting sucked until I replaced all of the bulbs with LED lighting kit. The U-connect systems work OK but sometimes has gremlins

I drive a 2024 Dodge 4x4 5.7 eTorque at work all day. I drive Chevy & Toyota at home and these Dodge trucks are very nice and everything this video says about it is true.
The interior is the best by far! The combination of of actual switches and knobs and touh screen is perfect. I am not a big touch screen guy, they have their place but for all the normal stuff you have to adjust while you drive has to be button, knobs & swithes and they are vey nice. The stop & go driving I do all day I get 12-16mpg and if you drive smooth you will get the bigger numbers. The start-stop system works without you even noticing it so I never bother with shutting it off like I would other cars.
I keep cars a very long time and take good care of them but after driving this Dodge at work I keep thinking about switching from my 2004 Tahoe LT witch I have kept up and I do really love it and never consider selling it but I really want a 2024 or 2025 Ram 1500 5.7eTorque 4x4 like I have at work.

You previously stated that mds mode reduces oil pressure in the deactivated cylinders and therefore should be shut off. Which is it.

I’m on my 7th Ram/Dodge truck. I had a problem with one, it was a 97 Dakota, the only mid size truck I ever owned. It was one problem after another. I only had it a year after I got tired of bringing it for service. The only issues I have had are the recalls for software updates.
