According to the known deaths of SASR soldiers, it appears that more than the NVA command were confused (perhaps indeed the compiler of this tale is too?)!

Who was this officer???? The only SAS officer killed in Vietnam was killed by mistake when returning to his patrol after reconing. You need to check facts before posting.<br>Most SASR Patrols were commanded by Sergeant's, sometimes Warrant Officers. Very odd occasion a Lt or Capt.
