  As an agnostic, a cyberpunk sci-fi movie about Jesus coming back in modern day and helping people see the truth and rebel against Yaldabaoth Matrix style would go pretty hard.

  As someone who is merely interested in Christianity but is not a christian myself, it always seemed to me that Judas was not a villain, but an essential part of the plan. Jesus was always going to die and be resurrected, but he wouldn&apos;t have been killed if not for Judas, so Jesus keeping him around despite knowing he&apos;d betray him tells me Judas was never a villain, but just another piece of the puzzle.

  Here’s a clear, simple interpretation of that saying.<br><br>The quotation comes from the Gospel of Thomas (Saying 7), a non‑canonical early Christian text. Scholars generally read it as symbolic, not literal.<br><br>A common interpretation:<br><br>• “The lion” represents the lower, animalistic, instinct‑driven nature in a person.<br>• “The human” represents the conscious, spiritual, awakened self.<br><br>So:<br><br>• “Blessed is the lion that a human eats…”<br>Means: when your higher, conscious self “consumes” or masters your lower impulses, those impulses are transformed and elevated. You become more fully human (spiritually awakened).<br><br>• “Cursed is the human whom a lion eats…”<br>Means: if your lower impulses consume you—anger, greed, fear, lust, ego—then you lose your humanity. You become ruled by the “beastly” part of your nature.<br><br>In short:<br>It’s about inner transformation. You are blessed when your higher nature rules your lower nature, and you are lost when your lower nature rules you.
