No one in my memory holds a candle to John's interviews of authors! This exchange with Mr. Symonds is particularly outstanding.

I've listened to several Symonds interviews about Nimitz. This is easily the best.

Great stuff, John. Thanks for the deep dive into Pacific leadership in WW II. Nimitz was in the right place and at the right time.

A great interview with wonderful questions that effectively brought to life a great leader with many lessons learned explained thoroughly. One of my favorites on Admiral Nimitz who fascinates me with his humanity and strategic thinking . Thank you so much.

Didn't Nimitz clash with Admiral Towers (AIRPAC) over the brown shoe, black shoe rivalry and command of carrier task forces et al and the whole Mitscher "gun-decking" business.
