  If I’m in a hurry i use an oxy acetylene torch. However if I’m just chilling I use a magnifying glass and the sun. Something about that Archimedes death ray approach I find relaxing.

  What I love about pipe smoking is the variety. Various tobacco’s, and blends. Many different pipe companies and styles. A plethora of lighters to pick. Even where I smoke my pipe is important to me. Personally I like smoking my custom blend of tobacco on the Great Lakes, just watching the waves roll and crash, eying a freighter on the horizon. I find it both calming and refreshing to get clean air and some good sun while enjoying a pipe. Hiking goes with pipe smoking beautifully too, forces you to stop and absorb nature. I also find a lot of woodland animals curious about my pipe smoke, I’ve had squirrels and rabbits even deer come up to me while smoking, and if I don’t move other than to keep the pipe lit they just stand there staring and sniffing.

  I&apos;m still fairly new to pipe smoking, but went ahead a bought a zippo pipe lighter and fluid just after buying my pipe. It seemed like I could never keep the fluid in and I was always having to refill it. I figured I was doing something wrong. I&apos;d go to smoke and no light and no backup lighter. So started using a Bic for convenience. Your video has shown me I&apos;m not wrong, I just need a seal! Thank you. Your videos have been very instructual this morning.

  I use a full brass 1980s zippo just cause it&apos;s cool

  I use BIC for the first lighting, easy to lit all tobacco in the bowl, and as long as all tobacco is lit, I use Zippo.

  Hey! Glad to see a new video from you! You actually were our introduction to pipe smoking just a short while ago. Your absolutely friendly and warm attitude felt very welcoming and motivated us to give pipes a try. Neither of us were smokers before, so your videos were very appreciated and watched on repeat. Thank you, you helped us start a new hobby.

  As a pipe smoker, I love the Zippo pipe lighter insert for my Zippo lighters. I will also use butane lighters of many styles and matches, but I prefer the Zippo pipe lighter.
