  I have had r4 for 6months. then 2 months ago I bought m21. For me, m21 is an upgrade to r4 especially in terms of sound, speed, build and UI. Dmode is perfecr and the ability to bypass battery charging. .now i already sold my r4

  This is endgame desktop streamer for small desks with little space. That's how I use it. Zero issues.

  FiiO, the most trusted name in ChiFi. <br><br>I like Cirrus Logic chips, only because it sounds cool and my first serious DAC used one.

  what really sold me on the M21 tho.. was the cassette case. It is beautiful. Love the retro feel of it.

  I enjoy both, but find the M21 to be more engaging and musical. Love the lushness and richness of the R4, but the stage on the M21 is bigger/deeper and instrumentals are separated more to my ears. You can’t go wrong with either purchase, but the value of the R4 is undeniable.

  Thank you for reviewing the M21! Right now I am using an M11 Plus (ESS version) and I enjoy it a lot. I don&apos;t &quot;need&quot; a DAP upgrade, but the M21 seemed worth getting as a different &quot;flavor&quot; of Fiio without costing too much. However, your comparison with the Hiby R4 now makes me hesitate. Choices, choices...

  Very nice review. I had both the FiiO M21 and the HiBy R4, and I came to the same conclusion as you — I kept the R4 and sold the FiiO M21

  Thanks for the great review. Do you have any interest on TWS earbuds? Hope you can also review them since this kind of products are getting better and better on sound quality. Generally if I choose portability, I would expect I&apos;m going to listen to music in a noisy environment, which makes TWS buds with ANC a much better choice in terms of portability and noise control. Please don&apos;t get me wrong. I&apos;m not saying these chunk DAPs are not worth buying, but there must be people like me prefer portability to better sound when we&apos;re out with bunch of unpredictable noise and still want to enjoy the music.

  Very interesting. I own both R4 and M21 players and testify to both being great. Hovever, i find the FiiO way more engaging and musical with even better staging capabolities. This is particularly true in NOS mode and &quot;all to DSD&quot; mode. Both not available on the R4. The class A amp on the R4 is possibly a little cleaner to my ears though. <br>Give the FiiO about 200 hours to ripen. Out of the box it is not that impressive imho.<br>Either way, you can&apos;t go wrong.<br>Very exciting times ro be in the hobby.

  Полезный для меня ролик. У меня как раз Hiby R4 и меня весьма интересовало его отличие от Fiio M21. Теперь я спокоен и если и буду переходить на другую модель,то это вероятно будет iBasso DX 260, тем более что вес у них почти одинаковый и значит можно слушать практически везде и в том числе в поездках на море.
