  So many memories of striping my FS1E DX down I had a early DX 1975 it was a great bike bee line racing kit pee shooter expansion chamber it had 5000 miles on when I got it and went everywhere on it then part ex it for a RD 250 had it 2 days passed test then

  Grinning all the way through this mainly because i made the same cockups as a spotty yoof lol ( spotty yoofs fix wiring by twisting them together !) dont worry about uusing patern parts as long as you keep another old bike going . Never had a fs1e but rode a few including my cousin's i rode it along a dual carriageway and as i slowed to turn off i fund it had no front brake managed to slow it down on the back one and engine braking boy did i give him a rocket when i got back , we still laugh about it fifty years later .😂
