  DO NOT let the school put an automatic restriction on your CDL. MAKE them let you take your driving test in a MANUAL truck. It’ll give you way more options and open more doors down the road 🤙💯

  Good video. I’m 23 & I wanna get into trucking. Single, no kids, always been good with directions since I was little whether it was helping my mom get home or walking myself through the woods. I always loved road trips & driving. Typical of me to put 40 or 50k miles on my car a year. Ready to hop in that truck & hit the road & get paid. Seems to be the only job with sacrifice I’m determined to do. I started getting into railroading & decided it wasn’t for me, now I’m gonna do trucking instead & I know I’ll love it. When I was 18 or 19 I was making good money & working for myself & I would just hop in my car & drive from Missouri where I stayed to Massachusetts or Alabama/florida, I would take long drives in any direction & just stay in hotels/sleep in my car for the h*ll of of it. It gave me acne it made me sore, I’ve figured out how to overcome those things already from moving states and visiting my parents every other weekend in another state, driving hundreds of miles. Been on a lot of long road trips at my age. Could never get enough of it. I just loved being on the road, seeing something new every day is good for my mental health. Don’t like stimulants, don’t like coffee, just ready to go !! Thanks so much.

  This past year I was a CDL instructor and as of Feb 2022 trucking school is mandatory. Few years ago you could just study on your own time and go take the test with a truck a family member or friend has. Like he said it’s best to get that permit before you even go to the school. Keep on truckin 💪🏾
