Been a UGreen Kickstarter owner since 2024. Current pricing for all nas models today (from all vendors) makes those launch prices quite a deal hardware-wise (DXP2800/$239, 4800/$359, 4800+/$419, 480T/$479, 6800/$599, 8800/$899). Even their 2026 Kickstarter prices w/ all discounts for early deposits (6011Pro/$1459, 6011/$1099, 6011(32)/$899) were great purchase prices! Glad I took advantage of both launches!

Holy crap I would never run a production ZFS pool on a USB disk. That’s basically opening Pandora’s box. USB storage adds another whole layer of potential failure: bridges, cables, power management, resets, disconnects, device enumeration, and questionable error/flush behavior. ZFS can handle failing drives, but you really don’t want the storage path itself randomly disappearing underneath it.

Not sure if it is just me but there were times in this video you were talking about the Plus and pointing towards the Ultra and vice versa!!! I am easily confused at the best of times.

In this price range you can also consider Synology, e.g. DS1823xs+

You need a bit of editing in post to swap over the product names on the front of the units ;-P

Can you make an updated video regarding the IDX6011 Pro 64GB model?
Im curious to learn more about the local AI vs. Othe AI LLMs.
I purchased this Nas, just waiting for the high capacity hdds to go down in proce. I've considered the seagate exo 28TB hdd [ recertified drives ]. What's your opinion on using those for media?
