  It comes as no surprise to any Norwegian that Erling chops wood for the winter. He is doing what his ancestors have done for thousands of years. Most Norwegians are happiest when we can spend our time on simple tasks: chopping wood, lighting the stove, shoveling snow, take a walk, knitting wool socks, and lighting candles to create the cozy atmosphere we need during the winter.

  dude you do not realise how relaxing tasks like fishing or splitting wood with an axe are, i could do this "nothing usefull" for hours! I can also do it for weeks with the right friends!
