Glenn explains things like he is talking to someone who's barely able to comprehend what the big red button marked "Rec" does. It's almost like he is talking directly to me.

Also, I know Steve, the guy that made NAM, in real life. The number of things made from it, and how good they are, is insane, and he's constantly blown away with how many people love his open source software. He hasn't raised the bar - he's completely re-calibrated the bar, like holy fuck. He recently quit his day job to be a full time consultant for companies and indie devs who want to integrate NAM into their products, and he gets the rest of his money through donations. He lives in a high rise in downtown Seattle. So much for no money being in the "open source software developer" title, lmao. He already gets a lot of credit, and he still suffers from impostor syndrome and remains humble - he drives a Subaru. Great dude. He deserves all the praise and success.

I used to do the twist and tape method. It worked... kinda that's all I cared about. Then I started watching Glen and Gigging.
I'm proud to say I have since learned to solder. I've wired pick-ups into friends' guitars and mine. I also repair my bands cables.
If you're a gigging guitarist, learning to solder is a huge money saver.
Thank you for yelling at me all these years, Glen!
