  The binturong is an incredibly striking creature which I only learned of recently. Upon seeing it, I wondered if it was real, for it has been so long since I saw an animal that 1) I was previously unaware of and 2) looked so different from all animals I&apos;ve known before. The binturong is a tree-dwelling mammal native to Southeast Asia, where some communities use it to make &apos;kopi luwak&apos;, a bowel-centric coffee typically made with the assistance of a civet. It is said the binturong smells like popcorn. And it is also said my heart smells like popcorn.
