I have a brother with this “teasing” attitude. I used to clean house for him and he would make his teasing insults every time I was there. When I told him I didn’t like it and that he was being a bully he just let my words go over his head and keep on with the insult teasing. I finally quit cleaning for him and stopped having anything to do with him. Other things were involved but I don’t miss him or his insults.

At some point I would have just asked Jake in front of everyone, “hey, you keep squeezing my hand under the table whenever your mother directs a nasty comment at me. What exactly is it that you’re trying to convey to me? Because you never actually say anything at the time; and whenever I ask you about her words later, you tell me it doesn’t mean anything. So why would this gesture of comfort, assurance, or warning be necessary?”

What a malicious school yard bully of a mother. If she can't take the BS, don't dish it out. <br>Selfish, entitled, and jealous people NEVER apologize for how they treat others so poorly. They NEVER take accountability for their abhorrent behaviors. They just continue to lay blame on others. They make excuses and gaslight that person for how they reacted to their cruelty and maliciousness as being "too sensitive " or "You're being dramatic!" <br>(Lawd... give me strength every time I hear those phrases 😡)
