  An MBA from top schools paired with domain expertise would open the door to the C-Suites faster than working hard and only having an undergrad degree.

  I am actually a psych nurse, I got my MBA for 5k online, literally thought it would be useless but it was cheap and accelerated. I actually got to teach in China for two years and now I’m going to also get a cheap and accelerated online PMHNP degree from WGU. Remember to never play fairly when you know the system is rigged anyways. Go cheap, accelerated and just barely legal. Focus on living below your means, saving money in your vanguard global ETF, own property and get married. Prioritize your days off. I only work 3x12 every week, my university job was 16 hours a week. When I get my PMHNP, I will work part time. Use the Pell grant to pay for your entire degree, use student loans to pay off your car, use loan forgiveness to pay off your loans. Underreport your income, don’t pay your taxes, hide money in offshore accounts and utilize public transportation. Live in affordable cities where the job market is still strong, like Portland, Minneapolis, Philadelphia, Chicago and New Orleans. Travel as much as you can, use hostels and discount flights, Eastern Europe and Asia are very cheap. 90% of your struggles are just from following propaganda.

  its so hard to break into upper management at a fortune 500 w/o one... its like trying to win a nascar race on a donkey if you dont have one... its a big barrier to entry. if you dont have any desire to get into leadership or upper management then theres no point. its also pretty good for raw entrepreneurs too because its a degree you can point to for people (investors) to give you their money.

  Thanks for including vets. This helped..I have an MPA but got a role as a project manager at a mortgage company and was on the fence about going back to school.

  Good advice.  Be careful not to listen to people who give you one sided advice on getting an MBA.  It depends!!! I am a Stanford MBA who does corporate development integration in Silicon Valley!

  There are a large contingency of people who are already in their career/field who would like to attain an MBA to advance their existing career. <br><br>In my case, I will see ROI on any MBA as my company would advance existing employees internally. <br><br>I am looking into an affordable/online program and plan to start 2027.
