  I interpret the snatcher&apos;s ability to &apos;steal your voice&apos; and &apos;wear your skin&apos; is just a hallucination to mimic instead of literal stealing and wearing.<br><br>The &apos;wear your skin&apos; line especially since an entity as intelligent as it wouldn&apos;t bother stealing a costume if it could just wear human skin.

  The wonky text on the &quot;Beware the Smiling Snatcher&quot; poster says &quot;THEY GAVE UP.&quot; That means the police gave up trying to capture or kill the monster because it was too crafty. So the Lankmann foundation just put out a PSA to warn people what to do and TRY to survive until the curfew ends.

  I really liked the bit where the police hung up on the lady. It was such a small thing compared to the rest of the content, but to have your protectors wordlessly abandon you upon hearing of your danger, not even offering a &quot;good luck&quot; or a &quot;run&quot;... something about that chilled me.
