Pacific Rim and District 9 were movie masterpieces that came out of nowhere and never got the sequel they truly deserve

This movie came out 12 years ago and its visuals are still outclassing recent titles. Rest in peace to all fallen Jaegers and pilots.

I just realized that they didn’t just jump like it’s nothing but used the back thrusters for a boost in the air
Nice little detail they added for more realism

Im thinking the "Checking for a pulse" part was actually Raleigh making sure this kaiju was dead, seeing as he and his brother assumed Knifehead was dead prematurely after tanking several plasma cannon shots.

The best thing about this movie was just how much weight the mechs felt they had behind them. They were truly huge massive hulking machines and their movements showed that. In the second movie they move like they have barely any weight and feel more like power ranger mechs that don't follow the laws of physics.

One detail I'll always love of this scene is that the moment that Gipsy Danger appears and starts fighting the Leatherback 4:52 , all the bad blood Chuck had with Raleigh completely disappears and he cheers them on. Beautiful character development and a way to say that when there is so much at stake, there is no room for petty rivalries, we fight together or we go down together.
