  We were on holiday in the UK in 2024 and I hired a car in Lancashire to take my wife to visit a friend in Bath. I drove there, stayed overnight and returned the following day. It cost £25 per day to hire a new Kia Sportage. I&apos;m not sure how they make a profit!<br>A week later I caught the train to join her in Bath at a cost of £93. One way.<br>Unfortunately the car hire place only did back to base hires.<br>In almost every town we visited 25% of the shops were empty and 50% were charity shops. Even in places like Windsor the rot was visible.Bath was one of the few places we visited which still had an air of dignity.

  20 years ago, I escaped from 12 years in West London, to The Mediterranean Coast of South Eastern Spain... I can honestly say that I have NOT Regretted a Single Day here....!!

  The privatisation(water firms, energy suppliers and etc. are all in private hands in fact none of them are from the UK, people from abroad owns them) and after that the constant greed of that top 1% maybe even top 5% is just absolutely disgusting... Even the properties/blocks which are getting build in and around London are from investors(the top 1%) and they just pushes the prices even and even more higher so damn high, that if you are in the middle-class in London you are NEVER EVER going to afford A 1 BEDROOM FLAT and if you are trying to rent well... Good luck with that, because with around 30K-35K a year wage is... roughly 50% of your monthly salary is going into the rent itself and then lets not talk about how much the energy prices increased since 2021 and... The water bills is... 47% increase in a year! Absolutely DISGUSTING! I moved to the UK in 2016 and at first i tought i have a future here and i felt like that. Landed a decend job as well and i was living in the outskirts of London in a very very nice area(cant say the same about it now, it become a filthy shthouse recently) it went so much down hill after the Covid and then the Brexit its... I lost my words...
