Great job, but the time and effort it takes to restore these old houses and barns isn’t for me. People like you who are willing to take on these projects and restore these places to last another 100 plus years are incredible.

Forgive me for being blunt, but the final interior result is disappointing; the way the zones are organized and the furniture is arranged gives the impression that the person behind the design had little idea of what the end result would look like. While the construction work was excellent—featuring eco-friendly materials and professional execution at every stage—the interior design falls short. The result is a stark, minimalist bachelor-pad aesthetic that is completely devoid of coziness or family warmth. There are sofas and chairs blocking walkways; the seating forces people to sit with their backs to the door (which is uncomfortable for many); the shower is inexplicably placed next to the washing machine, leaving an odd, narrow niche behind it; and the washbasin sits right in the middle of the bedroom—a space that could have accommodated a proper bathroom with a window, partitioned off from the sleeping area. Then there is the tiny, separate toilet—lacking a sink and situated under a roofline that looms directly over the bowl. If you hadn't shown that the partitions were newly installed, it would look as though you were simply forced to fill an existing space however you could.
