  This game has multiple endings, and it&apos;s basically impossible to get the true ending and uncover most of the story on your first playthrough. &nbsp;You have to go through it many times to learn what is happening. &nbsp;There&apos;s a lot more to it than just a girl being chased by a scissor-wielding maniac.

  If you ever wanna try this game out for yourself, btw, it&apos;s been rereleased on Switch and other current consoles under the title Clock Tower Rewind with an official translation (Jon played a fan translation via emulator for this video, the only way to play it in English prior to Rewind) and a bunch of nice QoL adjustments like save states and much faster movement speed! It was released on Halloween of 2024 in anticipation of the game&apos;s 30th anniversary the following year! :3

  The first Clock Tower game on the SNES was heavily inspired by the Dario Argento movie Phenomena, which starred a young Jennifer Connelly. It&apos;s where the game&apos;s Jennifer&apos;s name and appearance came from. The second game in the series, which released for the PS1 (and was just called Clock Tower in the west), was the only true sequel that continued the first game&apos;s story, as the other sequels were completely unrelated. However a very good successor to the series was 2005&apos;s Haunting Ground on the PS2, which was also one of the games that happened to be a byproduct of the development cycle for Resident Evil 4, where they tried lots of different things that spun off into their own titles when they were scrapped (this is also how Devil May Cry and RE Dead Aim were created).

  This one wasnt released outside of japan until the recent version on current consoles so back then the one on ps1 was the &quot;first&quot; game for us even though chronologically it takes place after this one. Also not to be confused with clocktower &quot;Ghost Head&quot; on the same system which was just a spinoff.

  There&apos;s more of the game. I believe Scissorman &amp; the giant blob monster are brothers. Jennifer&apos;s name &amp; design is based on Jennifer Connelly in the movie Phenomena, the game designer is or was a huge fan of director Dario Argento, who made great movies like Phenomena, the original version of Suspiria, Inferno, Deep Red &amp; Tenebre/Tenebrae 🙂
