Hey Thomas , stay on point and keep moving forward brother. I can relate to everything you are saying about getting older and life as we thought we knew it to be all these years. I can't wait to see the first day you land in the Philippines and start your dreams. God bless brother! Phil

When I got rid of all my "stuff", house and moved to the Philippines in 2020, it was such a relief. I kept one small suitcase that held some pictures, other memories and let my son keep it for me. I'm 69 now and totally don't miss any of it at all.

Man, I can relate to practically everything your going through. It's tough starting over. But I'm not familiar with tearing down the old before building something new. I hear your pain. It's comforting to know that whatever happens, the memories will remain.

Sorry about the redundant comment about the Balikbayan boxes or shipping container. I hadn't read the previous comments.

Not sending a lot more is my biggest regret moving here 7 years ago.

I agree it's not much of a life to be sitting on a couch watching tv all day. That sounds very depressing. I need to move and see new things.

have you looked for a FB MP professional seller yet? I had to slow mine down when my asawa decided she wanted to come here first fr 6 months to a year.
I sold $3K in extra bike parts on eBay that i had laying around in two months. be prepared to just give it away at pennies on the dollar or free, under no circumstances pay for storage here.
my first adult relocation post divorce, I had a hammock in my bedroom for two years, no dressers drawers just square piles of clothes on the floor if it didn't go on hangers and no car for four years. That's my goal now, to get back to just my hammock and what ever my carry-on will be when I got to the Philippines
Let those memories go, make new ones.

I was there it’s what I did some of the stuff I thought would take the longest to sell sold first. I have no regrets I would do it again. I might have to do it again soon for my parents because they are coming in November to see about moving here as well

Good luck enjoy your time spend your time as you please not how other expect you too

Great video. Hang in there.I deconstructed my life after going through a divorce in DFW and moved back to small town America to take care of older parents when my Mom got sick, and there's nothing easy about it.
Love your channel and the way you're handling things.
I look forward to hopefully following a similar path once I hit 60-62 in a few years and building a new life in SE Asia as well.

You should see the stuff my Asawa needs to get rid of before we leave Japan for the Philippines 🇵🇭. At least it’s your stuff that you get to declare jetsam. I did achieve one of my checklists and made progress consolidating accounts. All we can do is one bite of the elephant at a time
