  The Messenger is a song Chester wrote for his kids for whenever he wasn’t with them anymore, unfortunately it happened way too soon. It helped me through a lot and still continues to do so

  When burning in the skies came on, your mindset was exactly like everyone else’s.. people were expecting hard hitting; heavy riffing, Chester screaming, Mike rapping.. it’s funny how expectations tend to sway your perception.. that’s why people wrote them off.. but then once you gain an appreciation for lyrics, meaning, different sounds, so many people come back to this. I love that Mike calls people out way in “When They come for me” by saying “once you have a theory of how the thing works, everyone wants the next thing to be like the first.”

  This album was very polarizing when it came out. &nbsp;Some people love it, some people hate it. &nbsp;It&apos;s personally my favorite album from them and of any band ever. &nbsp;It&apos;s so different and every song blends so well while also being super unique in their own right. &nbsp;Love the reaction!

  This album is about nuclear war and stuff which explains why it’s so depressing. Also, this is the most experimental Linkin Park ever got and didn’t care about what people thought really (given the song When They Come for Me, which was basically about not caring about the media)
