  When a self-taught programmer who went to Harvard and found his own game studio with his best friend and sold the studio to a company; Found out a bunch of college kids report an old playstation 2 game they developed about twenty years ago to the personal computer and the only thing on his mind was uhhh.....

  I wonder if anyone at Naughty Dog will ever look at something like OpenGOAL or the unexpected profitability of the physical releases and think to themselves &quot;... Is it worth a revisit?&quot;<br><br>Personally, I think this series could use a little experimenting right now. Something small scale and clearly made as a demo to &quot;test the waters&quot; so to say.<br><br>I bring this up because I know a lot of people will see this and think &quot;Oh, they know the fans are interested, they should make a Jak 4!&quot; and that&apos;s a nice thing to think, but you also have to remember-<br><br>There&apos;s like 13 of us Jak fans across the collective internet. And for this reason I think a full fledged sequel or remake would be a bad move financially until Naughty Dog has some more concrete evidence that such a project would be successful in any way.

  Hey lol, the person who got ratio’d in the video here. <br><br>Not gonna say I made no mistakes on my end. I should’ve come across less harshly assuming, that was my bad.<br><br>I’m happy that he likes the efforts done by the community, but I hope it’s understandable that simply leaving one word statements could have a thousand different meanings. <br><br>When you don’t clarify, people start assuming the worst. A lot of other fans around me were getting anxious that it could’ve meant he was worried about the legality of the project, and that it was a huge red flag OPEN-GOAL would be taken down soon. <br><br>As someone who likes and advocates for fan projects, specially for series that have been getting no-fanfare for decades, I did get defensive. No question about it. <br><br>I’m just here giving a fan’s perspective on the matter. You’re free to call me cringe or based, none of it really matters now since I’ve moved past it.

  Holy shit... We got their attention. That&apos;s the first step. A remaster with modern day quality of life tweaks would be their best selling trilogy to date.

  I&apos;ve been personally having a lot of fun. It has saved the hassle of messing with emulators or going and buying a console just to relive some nostalgia. I love what they have done to the PC port and I am excited to continue seeing the trilogy being brought over to a more accessbile, and in my opinion, a better experience for the majority of players. <br><br>I think some people overreacted to the &quot;Uh&quot; due to passion and pure excitement. I&apos;m sure the majority of those people on twitter just don&apos;t want anything remotely bad done to the port, as it was clearly taken a bunch of effort to pull off correctly. <br><br>Great video Boomer!

  See, even if they realize that there is money to be made here and want this project to be taken down for such reasons, they can’t really do that. Since the only thing that’s being released to the public is a program to run the games rather than the game with all its files, it pretty much falls under emulation which has been proven time and time again to be completely legal.<br><br>So if ND wants to make ports themselves, they’re going to need to do it themselves and then justify a price tag. Because why would people buy an official port that’s lack luster, vs a fan port that’s HIGHLY customizable? Only reason I can think is to show support for the franchise to resurrect the long dormant franchise, but if we’ve learned anything from the MegaMan collections coming out, buying ports doesn’t always guarantee anything.

  This video was 3 years ago but I really feel they need to remaster this series it’s been a long awaited. And the fans need a statement to know if there ever thinking of doing it or not
