He was my Mom's favorite player & she became a huge Dodgers fan never missing a single game that turned into a huge baseball fan! The world baseball classic & the success of team Japan. I can't imagine how much she would've loved last year & this years Dodgers. She watched my baseball through highschool but she learned the game because of Nomo-mania. Gambate!

Just hearing Ichiro mention his respect for Nomo San during his HOF speech tells you everything about the respect others have for him. Loved watching his style

What a beautiful documentary on Nomo. My dad had been a life-long Dodgers fan since they moved from Brooklyn, and of course he got to experience Fernandomania.

Even though I’m Mexican-American, Nomo’s first year was beyond magical to me and turned me into a Dodger life-long fan all by itself. As a 13 yr old boy, I used to love trying to emulate his majestic TornadoNomo windup all the time.

To this day I love my Dodgers more so than any sports team across all sports, and I know my dad would have enjoyed this documentary as much as I did, and I hope one day to be able to share a special sports season or moment with my son, the way I did with my dad back in that ‘95 season.

Hideo didn’t just change baseball for Japanese talent coming to America, but a path for other Asian players to come to the United States. What an honor it is to have him represent Dodger blue and be a part of history alongside Fernando.

not even a dodgers fan but everybody needs to thank hideo nomo for what he's done for the game. his final years in the mlb may not have been the greatest but without him i'm not sure where baseball would be today.

The windup of Hideo Nomo, known as 'Tornado,' is still strong and beautiful to this day.

The "英雄" in Hideo Nomo's name can also mean "hero." A hero is one who fights with courage, unafraid of the challenges ahead. In ancient times, heroes took up swords and donned armor as they went into battle. But in the 20th century, a hero descended upon Los Angeles wielding not a blade, but a baseball, summoning a tornado with his own hands.
That tornado electrified Dodger Stadium, shook Major League Baseball to its core, and sent waves of excitement through fans in both Japan and America. Nomo's bold journey gave hope to countless Asian players—that they, too, could aspire to compete on the world’s greatest stage. Hideo Nomo is, without question, a true hero.

Many Pitchers will understand how hard it is to Wind up that far and consistently throw great pitches thru out the years, that’s why Nomo was unique and memorable.
