Zach is right. It's not about being first through the door, it's about being the best through the door.

It's a win-win for Zach. Bill is not only making him tough. He also shows Zach what NOT to be in life.

Bill physically abused Zack growing up. He mentally and emotionally abused him too. To have them even on the same boat is a huge step. Bill almost hit him on camera once. I think Zack just wanted his dad to be proud of him for once.

It's so sad that Nick passed away it would have been amazing seeing him as a captain or co captain.

Bill is emotionally stunted. If he just told his son 3 things... "I love you, I'm proud of you, I'm sorry"... it would change everything.

Zach is like most young people, they really don't know what they want. He knows this is a hard life and probably doesn't want this life style, but doesn't know what he wants or how to tell his dad without disappointing him. Bill is not accepting what Zach is telling him. Zach doesn't always need a captain, sometimes he needs a dad.

The thing about Bill is that he's got a great head a' hair.

It’s crazy how much Zach looks like his father. Wow. I hope they learn to forgive the past and love because time is short for all of us.

We as MEN (I’m 44) can make every single person on this planet happy but we seek approval from 1 person more than anyone. I’m an Iraq/ Afghanistan combat veteran with 7 deployments and started riding in the cab of a truck with my dad from the time I could walk so I became a truck driver too. I never heard “good job” “I love you” or “I’m proud of you” the only person in my life I wanted to hear those words from
