  Wasn&apos;t able to attend the live broadcast last night, so am watching it now Thurs morning. <br><br>Only watched 25min so far and it already is both insightful and spot-on on many points! Really good topic of discussion...cheers!

  I just finished this course today and &nbsp;I was amazed at how well he explains everything. &nbsp;I&apos;ve taken other calculation courses on Chessable by IM&apos;s and GM&apos;s which don&apos;t explain nowhere as good as Azel does. &nbsp;I finally understood many of the mistakes I was making in calculation. &nbsp;It was so good that I plan on doing all his courses in order to fix any other &quot;voids&quot; or sticking points that can affect future gameplay if not taken care of. &nbsp;As Jacob Aagaard says: &nbsp;Chess is about understanding the basics.

  What a great interview and guest! (He sold a copy of the course to at least one person 😂)<br><br>IIRC it&apos;s &quot;where&apos;s Wally&quot; in the UK and &quot;where&apos;s Waldo&quot; in the US. I think it&apos;s originally a UK book series that was changed when they brought it to my country (US) sort of like &quot;Harry Potter and the Philosopher&apos;s Stone&quot; became &quot;Sorcerer&apos;s Stone.&quot; Chua&apos;s accent sounds Singaporean to my ears (or somewhere in SEA) so I&apos;m surprised he thought Waldo first. Would have thought they&apos;d have sold the British version there.

  <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9s5Lcv2UARM&amp;t=3380">56:20</a> Imthought FIDE reinstated the 400 pt rule as part of the ratings changes this month (which also put the rating floor higher at like 1400 or something — whatever the 1000 FIDE player got in terms of adjustment). So I guess this means it&apos;ll be FM Chua soon. ;)

  “Improve your worse piece” is meant to be advice for when there are no tactics and you don’t have a plan, it’s always a way to find SOMETHING to do. Like lots of shared knowledge, it gets diluted over time and becomes something players look to do immediately which is often unhelpful. Hope that explains it.
