Inland Florida may not have to worry about storm surge but they do about everything else that goes with hurricanes. As every hurricane is different thinking being inland will keep you safe from hurricanes is ignorant, theres been several hurricanes lately that hit the west coast and did do a lot of storm surge damage but then you have hurricanes like Andrew that did their most damage from wind and who feels those 160mph sustained winds and 200+ mph wind gusts is decided by a lot of variables, one for example is the speed the storm is moving, for example if a storm goes into Tampa at 170mph and is moving at 35mph,the storm isnt going to have time to lose much strength so it may enter Tampa at 170mph and go through Florida and exit around Daytona and tgise 170mph may only drop to 140mph causing damage to the whole corridor it went through. Then you have storms that move more slower and that will definitely be better for Daytona in the previoys example but it will do much more damage to Tampa as it lingered longer in the area, again all storms are different and a town nay go 40 years without hurricane issues but ALL of Florida is at risk, look at Helene causing mudslides and destroying Asheville NC,hundreds of miles from a coast.

Who made this Title? Someone in Ohio? <br>I've lived in Florida over 30 years. EVERY PART OF FLORIDA IS VULNERABLE TO HURRICANES, even the most inland town. If Michael tore Donaldsonville GA to SHREDS (it did) then a similar Storm can destroy any place in Florida
