Y'all need to take in account that in many circumstances, these backwoods places are nowadays full of drug addicted people who have nothing to do but scope out the comings and goings of every opportunity to work up enough for another bag. And newcomers have a significant target on their back. The wooded isolation works well as a cover for their nefarious pursuits. Not to say don't go, but realize, there is a certain kind of hell already there that you have to be prepared for. It's not good to leave your place unattended or have a noticeable routine. 30 or 40 years ago it was so much more serene, but that's progress I guess

The Mayo Clinic is not in Mayo Florida. LOL! The computer that wrote this video evidently thought that because they had the same Mayo name they were the same. Not so.

Bristol has a traffic light. Altha is worth a visit just for dinner (Yankees call it lunch) at the Altha Diner. My dad grew up on Fort Gadsen.

Cheap land is tempting until you realize the “discount” sometimes comes with hurricanes, no hospital, and a 30-minute grocery run, I’d still take the peace though.

I live Bristol and you can buy beer at any gas station here. No wine or hard alcohol and need cross river for that and bar. We have one stop light lol.
