  Fascinating. In a shorter video than others I've seen about this house I learned more than the others. For instance, most did not elaborate on why the stairways to nowhere or the "unexplained" doors levels up that opened to nothing. The earthquake and her desire to not repeat the mistake is perfectly logical. I really wish we were not viewed as people to con as in those other videos I saw and only received logical and accurate info, whether brief, as the way you explained it here. Thank you for keeping to the facts ;)

  Thank you for this excellent video, Ryan!  I made a special trip from Florida to visit the Winchester home a few  years ago and it was completely worth it!  I signed up for all of the tours, so I didn't miss anything.  I was also fortunate to visit when a gingerbread replica had been constructed and displayed in the gift shop and it was just incredible!

  She was the architect/designer, so some of the oddities are either from a change of mind or from the 1906 earthquake. <br>The rumors of being afraid of the spirits was just a ruse of the woman who claimed to be able to communicate with the dead. She had connections with the carpenters.

  I often use this mystery house as a parallel to how software development works at most companies, features being added on that don&apos;t make sense, passageways that lead to nowhere and so forth.

  One of my favorite places to take out of town visitors. It&apos;s truly spectacular. I highly recommend doing the extra tour that takes you into attics and backrooms.

  This has been one of my favorite episodes to date. I think the Winchester house and gardens is one of the most beautiful places, albeit odd, that I have ever been.
