Stairs have always been kind of more creepy to me. You just never know what you’re going to see with each turn at each floor, and the small enclosed area would make it hard for you to escape if you wanted to run.

Yet another reason why taking the stairs instead of the elevator would increase ones life expectancy 🤪💯

I don't care how scary the elevator might be, I still have osteoarthritis in both knees and scoliosis and I'm not taking any stairs I can avoid.

That's creepy! My fiancé's brother had a wierd and creepy experience in an elevator as well.. He once traveled to a province for work I think. He was riding the elevator in the hotel he stayed in with an old woman. They were both going to the ground floor so no other buttons were pressed. But suddenly before reaching the ground floor, the elevator opened on a floor before goin down. They thought someone from that floor will step in but no one did. It opened to a dark hallway. Looks like a convention room. Then suddenly, before he was about to press the close door button, a little boy in red shirt peeked. They thought that he was lost so he and the old woman was convincing him to get in the elevator since there's no other person in that dark hall way. But the kid refused and said that he was waiting for his mom there. They even offered to help him look for his mom but the kid insisted to stay so they left.
Upon reaching the ground floor, the old woman and my fiancé's brother informed the front desk about the kid upstairs on this floor that opened.
The employees looked confused and informed them that no one is there. It was closed and unused because there was no occasion booked for that day. But to make sure, they sent an employee to check and later said no one was there after thoroughly checking.
They later learned from the security guard that in the same year some time earlier than their check in, a mother booked a hotel along with her young son. But tragically she committed suicide after killing her own son. There were a lot of person who committed suicide in that hotel. All of those who got scammed and lost big money who booked there. And that includes the mother who took her and her young son's life. It was so sad. They believed that the boy they saw waiting for his mother was that child.

One of my biggest nightmare is to be trapped on an elevator , so no matter how tired I am , I will definitely take the stairs instead of elevators 😅

Don't play this kind of game even if you are a skeptic. Urban legends tend to have a degree of truth in it. You don't wanna being trapped another dimension nor bring something back from there.....

Regarding the Elizabeth Lamb case, my mom and I have a theory. We think that she was running from an actual person. One of the ways they tell you to protect yourself when you think your being stalked is to push as many buttons in the elevator as possible so you lose whoever is following you. It's also super suspicious that there is missing footage on the security cams.

I have had this experience in Japan where I was staying at a hotel and this one day I went to a nearby park with my family. I walked off from the rest of the group because I wanted some photos near the sakura trees. When I walked back my family was gone, having moved somewhere else in the park. I sat under a tree to text my mom and ask her where they were. That’s when I saw a girl in a school uniform walking around. She was maybe about 5-7, and looked really lost. I went up to her and asked her where her mom and dad are. She said they were having a picnic but she lost them when playing with her friends. So I asked where her friends are, and she gestured that they were behind her. The thing is there was no other kids. I was already creeped out by that but brushed it off because I needed to help this kid get back to her parents. So I asked if she could remember anything else about where her parents were. She said something about three sakura trees being closer to each other. So I took her there because that’s where I was with my family before losing them. Funny thing is when we got there there was nobody there. Then someone tapped me gently on the shoulder and asked who I was talking to. So of course I answered a kid. They then proceeded to tell me there was absolutely no kid. I looked again and the kid was gone. Later I learned a kid had gone missing in the park a few years ago. When they showed me the missing poster I almost passed out. The. Kid. I. Saw. And. The. Missing. Kid. Were. The. Same.

Imagine if the plot twist is that rather than supernatural, it's just a very effective and quirky criminal syndicate that spread the story around so that if anyone goes missing/murdered in building 10 floors and up, people on the Internet gonna chalk it up to the ghost game rather than actual crime.

My heart breaks for Elisa Lam and the suffering she endured. From my perspective as a social worker who has worked closely with marginalized communities and individuals living with moderate to severe mental illness, I can see that she was likely experiencing hallucinations. While I once, when I was younger, believed her experiences might have been paranormal, my professional understanding now leads me to recognize two equally heartbreaking truths: 1) the things she experienced were very real to her, and 2) they were likely manifestations of her bipolar disorder.

Even if what she saw wasn’t physically there, in her mind, whatever tormented her in her final days and hours was real. I can only imagine the fear and anguish she endured. May she rest in peace, and may her family find comfort and healing in the midst of this tragedy. ❤

What happened to Taeyong happened to me too many years before. Not exactly the same but similar. At that time, I was working for in a corporate building in center of KL. One time I went into the lift alone and press the floor I wanted to go. The lift seemed slower than usual but I didn't think much. Suddenly it stopped at a floor that was very unfamiliar to me. You see, the corporate building is made in a way that when the lift door open, you are supposed to face the wall of a corridor. Turn left or right, there's supposed to have tenant offices on both sides. But this floor was very different. The lift door opened and I was facing 2 flights of stairs, meaning the lift was on a landing between the 2. Beyond the stairs, it was dark and looked like a huge hall. What's stranger was the stairs was unfurnished, the floor was rough cements and smells awful. Initially I was like WTF and tried to press my floor again, but the lift took its sweet time to close. At that time I started to get really anxious, praying nothing will suddenly turn up while the door closes. Thanks goodness it closed in the end. I asked co-worker who had worked there for years, but they told me no such floor exists. And for the staircase and hall to exist, the building would have a protruding floor from outside. If no, how would it fit the fall on that side of building. But the building is a sleek straight narrow building. It's impossible.

Reminds me of a 2008 horror film called, "Dark Floors." A group of people in a hospital get on an elevator together, but when they try to get off they find that the hospital is completely empty. Strange creatures lurk in the halls and they come to the realisation that they are not in their world anymore.
