  Apparently the Pokéwalker was the most reliable pedometer when it came out and stayed the most reliable one for quite a long time. So at least you know all your walking was logged.

  oh no. Sal, you probably know by now, but to everyone who doesn't... the Pokewalker data is tied to the save file, and when you delete a save file, the Pokewalker has to be reset and you start over from the beginning. It warns you about this during the 'save data can never be recovered' warning whenever you reset HGSS... so unfortunately no, you don't have access to all routes any more.

  Fun fact if you didn’t already know: if you don’t have a Pokémon in the walker, one will just join you. I suppose you could attempt an even harder challenge like that.

  I actually really appreciate the ending to this. Instead of complaining about rng you took a step back and figured out how you could have won in spite of bad luck.

  Seeing as the route you accidentally skipped was the one you took after INTENTIONALLY skipping Jasmine for Pyrice, we can all just collectively agree that the Blue Lake comes before Pyrice, and the Dim Cave comes before Jasmine

  Ah yes, the odd growing pains of Drain Punch in its debut gen. Under-powered, insultingly low PP and the pool of mons which can actually learn it is baffling. I felt this on a personal level lmao. Fun video overall, kinda wanna attempt this myself now! :D
